[…] All too often, tutoring materials fail to recognize and reinforce that adult learners are intelligent and capable. Finding appropriate materials -that are interesting and mature in content yet use simple language – presents a major challenge to tutors. Librarians can play a pivotal role in helping adult learners meet this challenge by encouraging libraries to acquire such materials and by assisting students and tutors in locating these materials.
